Jerry L. Kious

Jerry L. Kious, 59, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, died Thursday, December 20, 2007, in Ocean Springs. He was born in Caraway but lived most of his life in Jonesboro. He had been a coast resident since 1975. A 1966 graduate of Nettleton High School, he was retired from Lockheed Martin, a USAF veteran of the Vietnam War, and an avid NASCAR fan. Mr. Kious also enjoyed camping.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Kious.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Kious of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; his father, Vaughndel Kious; sister, Dianne (Danny) Turpin; brother, Larry (Linda) Kious, all of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Melvin Davis officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 800 Porter Avenue, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, 39564, or to a charity of choice.
