Jerry Franklin Goodman, 83, of Jonesboro, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.
Born in Piggott, Jerry was a 1952 graduate of Marmaduke High School. He lived in Paragould before moving to the Jonesboro area 35 years ago. For most of his adult life, Jerry was a truck driver working both local routes and over-the-road transport companies.
Jerry was a member of Family Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed attending and supporting the Arkansas State University Redwolves teams. Jerry liked working on older tractors especially International Harvesters and Farmalls. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and traveling.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Midge Mowery Goodman: a brother, Bill "Sonny" Goodman; sister-in-law, Mary Goodman; brother-in-law, Wayne Jones; niece, Kimberly Goodman and nephew, Tommy Goodman.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Brown Goodman of the home;
3 sons and daugthers-in-law: Jerry Lynn Goodman of Lee Summit, Missouri,
Lindy and Tammy Goodman of Paragould and Terry and Teni Goodman of Little Rock;
1 brother and sister-in-law: John and Lanell Goodman of Paragould;
1 sister, Anne Jones of Jonesboro;
7 grandchildren and
9 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in Family Fellowship Baptist Church, 2441 Old Greensboro Rd, in Jonesboro with Rev. Mike Blackwood and Rev. Ferrell Duffel officiating. Visitation will precede the memorial service from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Burial in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery near Marmaduke will be private.
