Jerry Gibbons Sr.

Jerry Lane Gibbons Sr. 61, of Jonesboro died Thursday August 1, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Middleton, Tennessee on July 18, 1952 to Rosemand and Carrie Duncan Gibbons. Jerry had lived in Jonesboro most of his life and was the Owner and Operator of J. Gibbons Plaster/Drywall Inc. He was of the Church of Christ belief.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother; Terry Gibbons and sister; Mildred Clark and Sylvia McClary.

Survived by his wife of 41 years; Joy Gibbons of the home.

Sons; Jeff Gibbons and wife Teresa of Jonesboro and Lane Gibbons of Arkansas.

Daughters; Katie Gibbons of Jonesboro and Lisa Robinson of Brookland, Arkansas.

Sisters; Joyce Drown of Hardy, Arkansas and Bobbie Labarreare of Faulkner, Mississippi.

3 grandchildren; Jessica Robinson, Jaxon Gibbons and Austin Arnold.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday August 5, 2013 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Mike Martin officiating. Burial will be at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Mills, Tyler Robinson, Blake Mills, Josh Gibbons, Kenneth Kitchen and Steve Wessman.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Monday August 5, at Emerson Funeral Home.
