Jerry Wayne Brooks

Jerry Wayne Brooks, 82, of Jonesboro passed from this life Tuesday October 6, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born March 11, 1938 in Black Oak to the late Leland and Lovis Brooks.

Jerry has lived in Jonesboro since 1995 after moving from Tupelo, MS and owned Brooks Golf Center in Jonesboro with his son, Joe. Aside from working at the golf store, Jerry was an avid Arkansas Razorbacks Basketball fan and also loved keeping up with his granddaughter’s sports career.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by an older brother.

He is survived by his wife, Helen, of the home; son, Joe (Althea) Brooks of Jonesboro; daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Robison of Florence, AL; brother, Joe Ed (Ann) Brooks of Jonesboro; sister, Mary Jane Johnson of Jonesboro and granddaughter, Joanna Robison of Florence, AL.

All services will be private at the request of the family.
