Jerry Allen Carr

Jerry Allen Carr, 71, of Jonesboro, died Sunday morning at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Walnut Ridge.

Born in Sedgewick, Jerry is retired from the U.S. Air Force, serving 22 years from 1954-1976. He moved to Jonesboro in 1976.

Jerry worked several years for David Ezell and Precision Systems, Inc Heat and Air Conditioning. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was preceded in death by a son: Sidney Alfred “Al” Carr, and by his parents: Eric and Elva Simpson Carr.

Survivors include:

2 Daughters: Renee Lawrence of Black Rock, and
Karen Denise Worley of Milton, Florida;

2 Sons: David Wayne Carr of Allen, Texas, and
Steven Allen Carr of Milton, Florida;

4 Sisters: Jean Young, and
Pat McGregor, both of Jonesboro,
Joyce Walton of Walnut Ridge, and
Nancy Carr of Ravenden;

9 Grandchildren, and
2 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 at Herndon Cemetery with Mitchell Walton officiating.

Visitation will be held Monday evening 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
