Jerilyn Lee Peterson

Jerilyn Lee Peterson, 82, of Jonesboro, peacefully departed this life on May 21, 2026, at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born on March 2, 1944, in Minnesota to the late Edward and Verna Donohue.

Jerilyn dedicated many years of compassionate service as a nurse with the Red Cross before retiring. She was a woman of Lutheran faith whose life was centered around caring for others, both professionally and personally. She found great joy for gardening, feeding the birds, caring for her beloved dogs and cats, and creating cherished memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her quick wit, sarcastic sense of humor, and fierce love for her family made her unforgettable. Jeri left a lasting mark on everyone lucky enough to know her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Peterson.

Left to cherish her memory are her four daughters, Michele Rogers of Rogers, Jennifer Penninger (David) of Virginia, Holly Peterson of Nashville, and Erin Frangenberg (Sam) of Jonesboro; one brother, Jay Donohue of Minnesota; three sisters, Jan Johnson (Jim) of Minnesota, Judy Mehlhop (Richard) of Minnesota, and Jodie Donohue of Minnesota; ten grandchildren, Asia Rogers, Alyvia Munos (Ben), Adrian Rogers, Aubree Rogers, Dane Rogers (Tori), Colton Loughran, Luke Loughran, Gavin Frangenberg, Canon Frangenberg, and Cameron Frangenberg; and four great-grandchildren, Elan, Adeline, Ellie, and Indie.

The family will hold all services privately.
