Jeremy Shane Rickard

October 22, 1982 — January 23, 2013

Jeremy Shane Rickard, 30, of Jonesboro, passed from this life into Heaven on Wednesday, January 24, 2013, in Jonesboro.

A native and life-long resident of Jonesboro, Jeremy was a loss prevention agent with JC Penney of Jonesboro. He was a 2001 graduate of Nettleton High School where he was a drummer in the high school band. Music was very important in his life and he was a drummer in the bands Lost Creek Rebellion and the Michael Christian Band.

Jeremy held a VFR pilots license and enjoyed collecting artifacts. He was a history buff and was a roller coaster enthusiast. Jeremy became a Christian and was baptized in 2011. He was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Captola McMillin and his grandfather Buddy Showalter died the day after Jeremy’s passing.

Jeremy was kindhearted and loved by everybody. He loved playing with his children and was passionate about his music.

Survivors include his wife, April Pendergraff Rickard of the home;
2 sons: Layne Ricard and Chancellor Richard, both of the home;
1 daughter, Lexi Kate Price of Jonesboro;
His parents: Donnie and Sherry Showalter Rickard of Jonesboro;
1 sister: Holly Rickard Ward (Troy) of Kingburg, California;

Grandparents: Vada Showalter, and Stan and Jerri McMillin, all of Jonesboro, Cecil and Maydean Rickard of Bryant;

Brothers-in-law: William Pendergraff of Bono and Benjamin Small of Smithville;
Sisters-in-law: Bethany Small of Smithville and Jackie Roach of Rector;
Uncles: Ronnie Rickard, Don (Dana) Showalter and Jeff (Donna) McMillin, all of Jonesboro;

His fathers-in-law and mothers-in-law: Scott and Myrtie Small of Smithville and Chuck and Carrol Pendergraff of Bay; his grandparents-in-law: Junior and Sharon Small of Greenway; and 4 special friends: Clem and Jeanette Morgan, Jonathan Morgan and Kade Weatherford.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dr. Stan Ballard officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held Saturday evening, 5-8, at Emerson Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers include Jonathan Morgan, William Pendergraff, Adam Emerson, Wesley Smith, David Burleson and Sgt. Chris Taylor. Honorary pallbearers include Benjamin Small, Matthew Rousey, Kade Weatherford and the employees of JC Penney in Jonesboro.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to the ASU Museum, Nettleton Baptist Church, or final expenses account at Emerson Funeral Home.
