Jennie Lou Blalock Penn, 84, passed away August 16, 2017 in Jonesboro.  She was born February 13, 1933 in Bay, Arkansas to Jim and Laura Blalock.  She was a member of Nettleton Baptist Church where she served many years as pre-school director and Sunday School teacher.  She was retired from E.C. Barton & Company.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Tom Penn, three daughters, Donna Penn, Belinda Penn, Terri (Victor) Holt; three grandchildren, Samantha, Sara and John Holt.  She is also survived by two sisters, Madean (Skip) DuBus and Jimmie Kohler; three sister-in-laws, Clara Blalock, Alice Blalock, Frances Blalock; and one brother-in-law, Charles Inboden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Laura Turner Blalock; brothers, sisters and their spouses, Amelia and Jim Lewis, Jane and Andrew Johnston, George Blalock, Mary Blalock, Lula Mae and Fred Glover, Herbert Blalock, J.A. Blalock, Sue and Harold Pace, Laura Inboden, and Warren Kohler.

Visitation will be from 5:30 – 7:30 PM Friday, August 18, 2017 at Nettleton Baptist Church in Jonesboro.  The funeral service will be held at Nettleton Baptist Church Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM with Bro Stan Ballard officiating.  Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Penn, Bobby Newsom, Donnie Ballard, Mike Butterfield, Jerry Glover, Jimmy Bryant, James Blalock and Joseph Blalock.
