Jen Hwa Miau

October 26, 1938 — February 10, 2012

Jen Hwa Miau, 73, of Jonesboro died Friday February 10, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center.

He was born in Shandong China and had lived in Jonesboro since 1986. He graduated from merchant marine academy. He worked at the international shipping vessel for over 20 years. Over that 20 years he climbed up to the rank of ship captain. He enjoyed traveling around the world very much. He has traveled over 30 plus nations. Later, he became the owner of the restaurant. He opened China Garden restaurant in 1986 and later in 1998 opened Kirin restaurant in Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Feng Rui and Bao Ying Zhang Miau and one brother.

Survived by his wife, Mi Hwa (Anna) Miau of the home.

Son, Yen Kang(Paul) Miau and wife Wan Wan Miau of Jonesboro.

Daughter, Weimei (Gloria )and husband Jolung Lee of San Jose, California.

2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Grandchildren, Heather Jia Hui Miau, Kelly Jia Lin Miau, Mandy Jia Shin Miau, Karen Lee and Sarah Lee.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday February 18, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bruce Tippit officiating. Burial will be private with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time Saturday February 18, at Emerson Memorial Chapel.
