Jeff Tarpley, 42, of Jonesboro passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born April 30, 1975 in Jonesboro to Ruth Tarpley and the late William “Bill” Tarpley. Jeff was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He was a 1993 graduate from Nettleton High School. Jeff received his MBA from ASU and a bachelors of Science in mechanical and civil engineering. He was currently working for Thomas and Betts and he previously worked for Hytrol and Delta.

Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports. He was an avid fan of the Nettleton Raiders, Blaze Baseball, Dallas Cowboys and the Tennesse Vols. Jeff loved spending time with his family, especially his children.

In addition to his mother Jeff is survived by his wife of 16 years, Andi Tarpley of the home; 4 sons, Zachariah Gibson of Jonesboro, Jacob Tarpley, Daniel Tarpley and Blake Tarpley all of the home; 1 sister, Angie (Bobby Joe) Couch of Brookland; mother in law, Sandra (Ken) Rabe of Jonesboro; father in law, Darrell (Shelia) Armstrong of Harrisburg; 2 brothers in law, Pete (Melinda) Armstrong of Harrisburg, Greg Armstrong of Harrisburg; 6 nieces and nephews: Zachary Couch, Shelby Couch, Jessica Armstrong, Zoey Armstrong, Brittany Gramlin and Duke Henley.

Funeral service will be Friday, July 14, 2017 at 1:00 pm at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Brother Harles Banks and Brother Charles Sigman officiating. Burial will follow at Nettleton Cemetery with Active Pallbearers being Todd Reed, Brian Smith, Bo Freeman, Steve Porchet, Mike Middlebrook, Dewayne Cansler, Jason Gammil and Chad Miller. Honorary pallbearers include the 2017 Blaze Baseball team and their families and his co-workers from Thomas and Betts.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
