Jearldene Nix Coughlin, 67, of Lake City, Arkansas died Friday, April 16, 2010 at her home. She had lived in Lake City for a year, moving there from Jonesboro and was a member of the Needham Assembly of God Church. Jeraldene was active in Girl Scout, Boy Scouts, Literacy League, DARE and many other charitable organizations. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harrell Nix; dad, Columbus Ward; a sister, Juanita and a brother Bobby.
Survivors include her husband, Eddie Coughlin, of the home; son, Michael Nix and wife Jodi, Antioch, Tennessee; daughter, Renee Roark and husband Brad, Odon, Indiana; mother, Leona Ward, Jonesboro; step-daughters, Cathy Neace, Osaka, Mississippi; Patricia Ann Bostic, Nashville, Tennessee; brothers, Jerry Ward and wife, Ann, Ruston, Louisiana; Ronnie Ward and wife, Eileen, Salvisa, Kentucky; sisters, Alene Nix and husband Norman, Bay, Arkansas; Pat Ramsey and husband, Ray, LaGrange North Carolina, two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM., Monday, April 19, 2010, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Phillip Rogers officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Lake City Cemetery with Robby Cook, Tony Davis, Joe Gallapoo, Daniel Adams, Shane Mullins, and Gary Cope serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 2-4 Sunday afternoon at Emerson Funeral Home.
