Jeannette (Hester) Rush

Jeannette (Hester) Rush, 73, of Walnut Ridge, went to be with her Lord on July 11, 2017. She had lived in Walnut Ridge since 2005, moving there from Jonesboro. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge and was very active in church activities. Jeannette enjoyed sewing and cooking, but her favorite past time was spending time with her grandson, Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; son, Shawn Walker; her parents, Reverend Elmer and Lorene Hester; sister, Margie Hay and Brothers, Elmer Jr. and Carl Hester.

Survivors include son, Aaron Walker (Donna) of Pocahontas; daughter in law, Sara Walker of Jonesboro; brother, Gene Hester of Bono; sisters, Diane Ladwig, of Lee Summit, Missouri; Evonne Trelow, of Mount Leonard, Missouri and grandson, Spencer.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, July 17, 2017 at First Freewill Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge with Tim Campbell and Rick Hart officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at McDaniel Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Monday at the church.
