Jeanne H. Coleman

Jeanne H. Coleman, adored wife and mother, died Sunday, January 11th at the age of 75.
Jeanne was born and raised in Little Rock and worked for South Western Bell where she met her beloved husband of 53 years, Clyde E. Coleman. After their marriage, they soon moved to Jonesboro where they lived for 47 years while raising three children. Jeanne was active in her community and volunteered at First United Methodist of Jonesboro, the Girl Scouts, and the American Red Cross of North East Arkansas where she served as Chairman of the Board and a National Disaster Volunteer. For many years prior to her illness, Jeanne enjoyed collecting glass which led to work as an antique dealer.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her Father, William Sloan Haynes; her Mother, Eloise Frances Wilmot; and her sister, Jo Ann Haynes Newell of Little Rock.
Her survivors include her husband Clyde E Coleman of Jonesboro, daughter Jo Ann Coleman and son-in-law Brian Reddick of Little Rock; daughter Kaki Coleman and son-in-law Martin Evans of San Francisco, CA; daughter Sharon Joplin and son-in-law Mark Joplin of Seattle, WA; grandson William Byron Bowman III of Carson City, NV.
The memorial service will be held Wednesday January 14; at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of First United Methodist Church with Rev. Patty Soward officiating, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge. There will be no visitation. A family and friends gathering will be held at Jo Ann Coleman 108 Berry St. Little Rock, on Friday January 16, 2009 from 4-7:00 p.m.
