Jeanie Glasco, 70, of Jonesboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday night, January 28, 2023. She had lived in Jonesboro since 1981, moving here from St. Charles, Illinois. She was born in Elgin, Illinois, on August 15, 1952, to Lawrence and Mabel McGowen. She was a charter member of Valley View Baptist Church. One of her hobbies was crocheting and needle work. She was a very big Elvis fan and enjoyed listening to his music, while she was on the phone, which was all of the time. Her work history consisted of Frolic Footwear and K-Mart. Western movies and games on the telephone kept her entertained. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burnis Glasco Sr., one brother and one niece.
Survivors include her sons, B.J. Glasco and wife Lisa of Jonesboro; Larry Glasco and wife, Shawna of Bay; daughter, Tammy Webb of Jonesboro; sisters, Norma King, Nancy Perry and husband Butch of Jonesboro; Theresa McGowen of DeKalb, Illinois; grandchildren, Travis (Cortney) Glasco, Austin Glasco, Tyler Webb, Amber Webb, Ziven Pare, Tabitha Glasco and Earl Glasco; great grandchildren, Kayden Webb, Lela Webb, Finn Webb and Cooper Glasco.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Friday, February 3, 2023, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Wynndel King and Reagan Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Valley View Baptist Church.
