Jeane Mae Coots

Jeane Mae Coots, 87 of Jonesboro passed from this life Sunday, January 9, 2022 at NEA Baptist Hospital.  She was born in Trumann, Arkansas  May 7, 1934 to Willie and Jewell Henderson Hathcoat.  Jeane bought and sold antiques and enjoyed going to the casinos.  She was a traveler and loved taking cruises  Jeane was a member of  Pine Log United Methodist Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Dickie Ray Parnell and Steve Parnell; brother, James “Sonny” Wesley Hathcoat and sister, Kathern Kersey.

Survivors include 3 sons; Edward “Yogie” (Dianne) Parnell of Jonesboro, Paul (Tonya) Scarlet and Mark Scarlet of Arizona; 2 daughters, Betty Parnell and Teresa Coots of Jonesboro; brother, Joe (Delcie) Hathcoat of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Stevie Parnell, Mandy McDaniel, Courtney Parnell, Brandy Williams, Shane Parnell, Christy Lindsay and D.J. King and 17 great grandchildren.

The family will have a memorial service at the Community Fellowship Church Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 6 pm with Chad Wood officiating.

Burial will be private.
