Jean Stidman

Gloria Jean Stidman, 82, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, June 23, 2014 surrounded by family and friends at her residence. She was born in Greene County on December 1, 1931 to the late Daniel Clay and Dona Ann Honey Futrell. Jean loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved traveling, fishing, and playing cards with her loving husband and friends. Jean was a proud member of the Valley View Church of Christ and lived in Jonesboro since 1974. Her church family was a loving and integral part of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Eutha Jane Tate, and brother; Junius Daniel.

Jean is survived by her husband of 58 years; Rufus Stidman of the home, sons; Brent Stidman (Patty) and Jeff Stidman M.D.(Terry) of Jonesboro, grandchildren; Jared Stidman, Jonathan Stidman (Katie), Hannah Stidman, Jason Stidman, Sarah Freer (Wade), Adam Stidman, Lance Waters, and Nathan Waters.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Valley View Church of Christ with David Gibson and Kerry Williams officiating with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park with the pallbearers being Jean’s grandchildren.
