Jean Northern Sanderson

Jean Sanderson, 80, of Jonesboro died Monday, December 31, 2012 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She had lived in Jonesboro all of her life and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include one son, Michael Zagala and Fiancé Tammy Darnell of Jonesboro; one daughter, Melinda Winningham and husband Rick of Bay; sisters, Clella Perkins of Smyrna, Tennessee; Juanita Striplan of California; grandchildren, Brad Zagala, Garrett Winningham, Nicholas Zagala and Elaine Zagala.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Oaklawn Cemetery with Brother Mike Martin officiating and Emerson Funeral home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Garrett Winningham, Brad Zagala, Harold Gray, Don Wisdom, Jim Perkins, Joe Shephard and John Prunty. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Haag and Gary Perkins. Visitation will be from 5-7, Wednesday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
