Jean Kee, 82, of Jonesboro, died Friday at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born in Twist, Arkansas, Jean lived most of her life in the Jonesboro area. She was a homemaker and operated Kee Grocery Store in Jonesboro for 10 years before starting Kee Construction Company in 1960 with her husband and worked there until her retirement.
Jean was a member of North Main Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Ada Burns Scruggs, and by two brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her husband, John C. Kee of the home;
1 son and daughter-in-law: John Michael “Mike” and Diane Kee of Jonesboro;
1 daughter, Sandra Kee of Greenwood Village, Colorado;
2 grandchildren: Shannon and his wife Elaine Kee and Cabern Kee, all of Jonesboro; and
4 great grandchildren: Hailey, Austin, Hunter and Cory.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Brown and Rev. Bobby Crabb officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Bill Dacus, Rick Carter, Paul Davison, David Tarkington, Jim Coleman and Bill Puckett.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 12 noon until service time in the chapel.
