Jean Marie Brown, 95, of Jonesboro, Died Saturday, April 5, 2025, at her home. She was born in Rochester, New York, on April 29, 1929. She had lived in Jonesboro since 1974, moving here from Blytheville. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Jean was active in her younger years, serving in the church choir and the children’s ministry. Her love for square and folk dancing brought her many hours of enjoyment and she was a proud member of the Scottish Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Art Brown; three sisters, and her son-in-law, Dan Roman.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Brown and his wife, Stacey of Jonesboro; daughters, Kim Lewis and husband Mark of Conway; Karen Roman of Powder Springs, Georgia; brother, Richard Smock and wife Lynn of New York; sister, Tacie Holbrook of Circleville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Adam Brown, Jana Weaver, Jenna Lewis and Connor Lewis.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Central Baptist Church with Jay Jacobs and Larry Bailey officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 9:00 until service time. The burial will be private.
