June 18, 1936 — December 2, 2012

JE Gwin, 76 of Jonesboro entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 2, at his home with his loving family at his side.

JE was born June 18, 1936 in Kilgore, TX to the late Charles and Leona Million Gwin. He married Carolyn Rush the love of his life on November 11, 1954, and later on they had three sons. He spent 20 years with the US Navy until his retirement in 1974, and later went to work with TSM Corporation. He was a master gardener, and was a deacon and founding member of Valley View Church of Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn Rush Gwin of the home; three sons, Morris Gwin of London, England, Jeff Gwin and his wife Donna of Covington, TN, and Andy Gwin and his wife Debra of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren; Trey Gwin and his wife Amber and Jeremy Kellum and his wife Barbi all of Covington, TN, Patrick and Caleb Gwin both of Atlanta, GA; three great grandchildren, Tess Kellum, Ridge Kellum, and Daviney Gwin; and a host of other family and friends. JE also leaves behind his beloved dog, Missy.

Visitation will be Monday evening December 3, at Emerson Funeral Home from 5-7 pm.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday December 4, at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery in Walnut Ridge with David Gibson and Michael Meredith officiating. Emerson Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Honorary pallbearers are all the Deacons and Elders at Valley View Church of Christ.
