J.D. Morley

J.D. Morley, 82, of Jonesboro, died Friday evening at Skil Care Nursing Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Tulot, J.D. lived in Cherry Valley before moving to Jonesboro 50 years ago. He was retired from FMC Corporation in Jonesboro and was a member of the Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two wives: Gladys Morley and Lettie Morley, and by a son, Harry Morley.

Survivors include 1 son, Chris Morley of Jonesboro;

1 daughter and son-in-law: Charlotte and Junior Longoria of Corpus Christi, Texas;

3 sisters: Stella Quinn of Red Banks, Mississippi, Agnes Armstrong of Henderson, Texas, and Mary Smith of Stanford, Virginia; and

3 grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. Michael Blackwood officiating, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be held Monday evening, 6-8, at Emerson Funeral Home,
