J.C. Brown

J.C. Brown, 81, of Marked Tree died Friday at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was of the Christian belief and had lived Jonesboro since 1994.

A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Brown served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Missouri for 5 years and 3 years on a destroyer. He was an avid gardener and loved fishing and old movies.
He is preceeded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Connie Brown of the home; sons, Robert Denton Brown, Homosassa, Florida; Donald Wayne Brown and wife Kathy, Davenport, Iowa; Joe Edward Brown and wife Sherry; Winnebago, Illinois; daughter Jessica Olson and husband Peter, Kodiak, Alaska; brother Ernest Brown, Indianapolis, Indiana; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

All services will be private.
