Jay C. Gamblin, 73, lived most of his life in Jonesboro, died Thursday, November 27, 2025, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born on November 28, 1951, in Victoria, Texas, to Curtis and Dealva Gamblin. He served as a member and deacon at Walnut Street Baptist Church for many years. He loved life, spending time with his grands, the Dallas Cowboys, hunting and guns. He even spent time flying hot air balloons. He was the owner/operator of Gamblin House Movers and the Title Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Deb Tuseth.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Karen Gamblin, of the home; daughters, Jayme Smith of Jonesboro; Mandy McQuay (Matt) of Brookland; brother, Joe Gamblin of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Makala, Ashlee, S. J., Raelee, Colt and Logan.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Keith Baker officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time. All other services will be private.
