Jason Derek Eidson, 33, of Jonesboro, died at his home on August 13, 2026. He was born in Jonesboro and moved to Lake City, then moved back to Jonesboro three years ago. He was born on September 12, 1992, to Norman and Myra Eidson. Jason had worked for the past fourteen years as a Paramedic for Medic One Ambulance Service. At Medic One, he was a paramedic Instructor and the education manager. He was also a volunteer for the Lake City Fire Department. He enjoyed his membership in the Crowley’s Ridge Armored Combat Organization. He would always help anybody in need. Time spent fishing and hunting brought his many hours of joy. He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife of two years, Heather Eidson, of the home; sons, Dean Eidson and Eli Eidson of Lake City; stepson, Sawyer Haas; stepdaughter, Karleigh Haas both of Jonesboro; mother, Myra Reece of Jonesboro; twin brother, Jared Eidson of Black Oak, Arkansas and Terry Knight of Jonesboro.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 17, 2026, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with John Milligan officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Jared Eidson, Terry Knight, Joseph Eidson, Dylan Eidson, Mikey Dupwee, and Mike Knemp serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are the current and past employees of Medic One Ambulance. Visitation will from 1:00 until service time.
