Janie Atwood May

Janie Atwood May, 61, of Jonesboro died December 25, 2016 at her home. She had lived most of her life in Jonesboro. Janie received her Masters in Special Education from Arkansas State University and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her brother, Allen Atwood.

Survivors include her parents, Hugh and Jane Atwood of Fort Smit; sister, Susan McFerran (Mike) of Fort Smith; nephew, Allen McFerran (Malarie); nieces, Jane Mc Ferran and Ann McFerran; great nieces, Emerson McFerran and Maggie Jane McFerran.

A memorial service will be 1:00 Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Jonesboro, with Reverend Patty Soward officiating.
