Janie Marie Cole

Janie Marie Cole, 44, of Siloam Springs passed away at her home Monday October 3, 2022. She was born in Jonesboro to Brenda Cole and the late Robert Bryant “RB” Cole, Jr. Janie lived in Jonesboro until 2017 when she moved to Siloam Springs. She was a lifelong member at Central Baptist Church where she was active in GAs, Acteens, clown ministry, and the youth group. Janie graduated from Jonesboro High School as a member of the marching band.  She graduated with honors from Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in English.

Janie worked with her dad and brother in the family construction business. Then worked in several commercial kitchens as the head chef. In recent years, she had worked as a substitute teacher.  She loved working with kids.

She was an animal lover rescuing so many over the years. She enjoyed fishing. She was excellent at creating cross-stitched items.

She is survived by her mother, Brenda Cole of Siloam Springs; brother, Russell Cole of Jonesboro; sister, Julie (Jason) Wilkie of Siloam Springs; in addition, she had six beloved nieces and nephews:  Desireé Cole of Fayetteville, AR, Ryan (Kayli) Cole of El Paso, TX, Jacob Cole of Fayetteville, AR, Duncan Wilkie of Baton Rouge, LA, Quinton Wilkie of Conway, AR and Lillian Wilkie of Siloam Springs, AR.

Funeral service will be Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Dan Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.
