Howell Memorial Park Cemetery
Starts at 11:00 am (Central time)
Janice Louise Welch, 76, of Lake City, passed away peacefully at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro on June 9, 2026. Janice was born in West Plains, MO, on September 25, 1949, to the late Lonzo and Rachel Haring. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Saul Welch, and her sisters, Bev Cope, Betty Strafford, and Gail Grogan.
Janice was born and raised in Missouri, but in 1988 she relocated to Northeast Arkansas after falling in love with the area. She was a longtime floral designer and decorator with an incredible talent for her craft. She decorated houses for any occasion, especially Christmas, and could turn any household item into floral art. A selfless individual, Janice enjoyed reading her Bible and the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Most importantly, she loved her family and being a grandmother. Janice will be greatly missed by family, friends, and loved ones alike.
Janice is survived by her daughter, Angela Love (Rob), of Lake City; her brother, Bob Haring (Kelly), of Rogersville, MO; her grandchildren, Jacob Love of Lake City and Abbie Buck (Brayden) of Paragould; and her great-grandson, Bodie Aaron Buck. Special thanks to the care team at All Heart Senior Care for their kind, compassionate treatment of Janice, including Tiffany Pierce, Patricia Davis, and Melinda Gryner.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on June 12, 2026, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery in Pomona, MO, with Pastor Rick Davis officiating.
