Janice Greenway, 58, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She had lived most of her life in Jonesboro and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was a cosmetologist, and also had taught at Eastside Christian Academy. Janice loved to garden, do canning and writing poetry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Jeannie Owens and one sister, Brenda Shelby.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Richard Greenway of the home; sons, Richard Greenway Jr. (Stephanie) and Shannon Greenway of Jonesboro; daughters, Sherry Copeland (Barry) of Trumann and Jennifer Heavner (Tim) of Brinkley; brothers, Ray Owens of Tuckerman; Glen Owens of Chicago; Ricky Owens of Chicago; Earl Owens, Bruce Owens of Jonesboro; Mark Owens of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Eldon Owens of Jonesboro; sister, Charlotte Saffel of Jonesboro; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Eastside Baptist Church with Doug Farris officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with Paul Greenway, Larry Greenway, Sam Greenway, Perry Greenway, Craig Wiggins and Kyle Owens serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Monday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
