Janice Lee “Emmons” Fisher, 66, of Jonesboro, died Monday, June 5, 2017 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Jonesboro. Janice was a member of Strawfloor Baptist Church. Until she retired from General Electric she was a member of the local 747 Union. She enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with her grandchildren. Janice excelled at researching genealogy, and working with arts and crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Fisher; her parents; three sisters, two brothers, and a step-son.
Survivors include her daughters, Stacy Miland (Sean); Jamie Mondy (Matthew); brothers, Johnny Emmons (Pat); Eddie Emmons (Virginia); sister, Kay Roedel (Bobby) all of Jonesboro; Laverne Fears of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Hailey, Savannah, Aydan and Corey Lee.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery with Brother Gary Gipson officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Family will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30 at Emerson Funeral Home.
