Janice Cathcart, 74, of Jonesboro, died Friday morning at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born in Brinkley, Arkansas and lived most of her life in Jonesboro. She enjoyed arts, crafts, and painting and loved Children. Her love for children prompted her to be involved in the East Arkansas Foster Grandparenting Program. She was the owner/operator of Jan’s of Jonesboro and the Wheel of Fashion.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Douglas Jones, her parents, one brother and one sister.
Janice is survived by two daughters, Vickie Jelks, Mountain View; and Connie Lytle, Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers Bobby Kinney, Atlanta, Georgia; Lawrence Williams, Batesville, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Chantel Jelks Lopez, Jarrett Jelks, Sarah-Gretchen Lytle and Parker Lytle; three great grandchildren, Braden Lopez, Daylen Lopez and Madison Johnson.
Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M., Monday, February 18, 2008 at Oaklawn Cemetery with Bill Fisher officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 11-1:00 P.M. Monday at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro
