Janet Sue Akers Tucker

Janet Sue Akers Tucker, 75 of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at her home. She was a wonderful mother and sister, and a friend to everyone. Janet was an accomplished quilter. Janet served her country in the US Air Force. She joined on a 25 cent bet with her boyfriend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Tucker and both parents and all grandparents.

She is survived by sons, Christopher Ray Tucker and his wife, Dawn Marie Kent Tucker of Jonesboro; William Edward Tucker of Seattle, Washington; sisters, Margaret Akers Johnson of Tucson; Linda Donat of LaQuinta, California; grandchildren, Nathaniel Jordan Tucker, Emily Faith Tucker and Benjamin Kent Tucker of Jonesboro; Madeline Grace Tucker of Seattle; nieces, Laura Johnson of Mandeville, Louisiana; Anne Johnson of Menlo Park, California; Karin Barela of Costa Mesa, California; Betsy Lyons of Corona, California; and many wonderful friends scattered across the United States.
