Janet Ruth Maddox

Janet Ruth Maddox, 49, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the family home. She was born October 19, 1958 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Janet lived in the Jonesboro area all of her life. She worked as a nurse for many years at Rose Skill Care.

She was preceded in death by her father, G.W. Hanks, one sister, Susan Lynn Hanks, and one grandson, Allen Lynn Hanks.

She is survived by her mother, Pat Hanks; one son, Joshua Cofield; two daughters, Jessica Cofield and Jacqulyn Maddox; 4 grandchildren, Dillan Lawrence, Devan Hanks, Kaylee Cofield, Joshua Cofield; two sisters, Tricia Coggins of Jonesboro and Lynnette Jones of Benton.

Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until noon at Emerson Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at New Hope Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. The funeral procession will leave Emerson Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Pastor Ernest Coleman will officiate.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Hanks, Jesse Hanks, Lynn Jones, Steve Boyd, Jeff Presley, and Josh Clevenger.
