Jane Allen Goodwin

Jane Allen Goodwin, 72, of Jonesboro formerly of Newport passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

Jane was born on July 21, 1942 in Swifton to the late Otis Rockford and Geneva Allen Williams. After high school she moved to Newport and lived most of her life in Jackson County before moving to Jonesboro in 2001. Jane was of the Christian faith. She worked in Office Supply Sales for several years, and she loved researching genealogy.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Judson “Buddy” Goodwin; one sister, Sue George; and one half-brother, Laroy Williams.

She is survived by, two daughters, Terry Goodwin Jones (Bryan) and Kristina Long (Jeff) both of Jonesboro; a stepson, Dr. David Andrew Goodwin (Brenda) of Batesville; three grandchildren, Brynn Elyse Long, Andrea Michelle Goodwin and Johnathan Andrew Goodwin.
A graveside service will be at 2pm on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the Rehobeth Cemetery in Moorefield with Emerson funeral Home in charge. There will be no public visitation.
