Jane Leigh Bradbury

Jane Leigh Bradbury, 94, of Jonesboro, Arkansas peacefully departed this life on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born on August 24, 1927 to the late Matthew and Ruby McCoubrey. She graduated high school from Little Rock Central High School and attended Texas State College for Women in Denton, TX.

In the 1960s, Jane owned a lady’s dress shop called The Meeting Place in Jonesboro. She also worked at United Federal Savings & Loan for eight years before becoming an Administrative Assistant at Lamco where she worked for many years before retiring in the early 2000s. Jane was an active member at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and a member of the AJ Chapter of PEO.

Jane was the picture of a perfect lady who lived a long life of strength, grace, love and humor. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who will profoundly miss their Granny’s spunk and beautiful smile.

In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Robert Lee Bradbury, one son, Robert L. “Brad” Bradbury; one sister, Rosemary and husband Jack Fletcher.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Jessica Leigh (Jonathan) Odom of Jonesboro, Seth Welch Broadaway of Jonesboro; two great-grandchildren, Lenzi Garland of Black Oak, Harleigh Odom of Jonesboro; and a lifetime of friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church beginning at 2:00pm with a visitation following the service.
