Jana Kay Garcia

Jana Kay Garcia, 75, of Hot Springs passed from this life on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. She was born to the late Fleet Vickers Jr. and Mae Vickers on July 3, 1947 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Before Jana moved to Hot Springs, she resided in Jonesboro and was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. From a young age, Jana had an independent nature and wanted to be on the go.  It's only fitting that her first career was as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines.

Her sense of adventure continued throughout her life.  She loved her yearly trips to the Bahamas.  Jana loved traveling with her husband Bob & local RV group.  Bob was the love of her life.  After his passing, she enjoyed volunteering at the Catholic school, St. Bernard's Village, and CASA.  Jana took joy in entertaining & hosting gatherings for family and friends.

Jana is preceded in death by her husband, Bob Garcia. Jana is survived by her brother, Clark Vickers of Jonesboro; niece, Stephanie Smith (Jason) of Hot Springs; nephew, Sam Vickers (Paula) of Jonesboro; step-son, Michael Garcia (Karen); and step-daughter, Tina Pilara ( Rick ). Jana also leaves behind a host of other family and friends.

The rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home.

The visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home.  The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Emerson Funeral Home.   Private burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
