Jamie Gordon

Jamie D. Gordon, also known as “Niece-y”, was born August 8, 1980, and raised by parents William and Brenda Gossett from the age of 6.

In her 41 years, Jamie enjoyed loving her family, her husband, Jason, and her pets. She was a 1999 Nettleton High school graduate and believed Raider Pride was justified. She enjoyed listening to music, photography, and being creative.

Most of all Jamie had a heart of gold and loved making others happy.

In addition to her biological mother Beatrice, Jamie is preceded in death by her uncle, William Howard Gossett; and her father in law, Steven Gordon.

Jamie is survived by her husband, Jason Gordon, of the home; biological father, James Baker of Brookland; adoptive mother, Brenda Gossett of Jonesboro; biological brother, Tommy Baker of Pine Bluff and adoptive brother William Gossett of Jonesboro; adoptive sister, Heather (Jud) Nix of Colorado; nieces and nephews, William David Gossett, Jacob Nix, Caleb Nix, Lydia Nix, Amanda Denton, Cody Denton, and Alex Croom; and great nieces, Clary Denton and Adrienne Parsley.

A visitation will be Friday, November 12, 2021 from 5 – 7pm at Emerson Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will follow at 7 pm November 12, 2021 at Emerson Funeral Home.

There will be a private burial at Macy Cemetery. The active pallbearers will be Jud, Jacob and Caleb Nix. Heath and Cason Harris. Braxton and Gage Willbanks, as well as David Gossett.
