James Edward Whittaker

James Edward Whittaker Sr., 71 of Jonesboro passed from this life on Friday, August 23, 2019 at his home. James was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 8, 1948 to the late Louis and Lena Hopkins Whittaker. James Lived in Jonesboro most of his life, was a self-employed painter and a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Mae Whittaker, Daughter, Sherry Floyd, Sisters, Mary Helen Gore, and Minnie Dushuanack, Brother, Lewis Whittaker.

Survived by his sons, James Whittaker Jr., of Jonesboro and Billy Knight of Paragould.
Daughter, Crystal Foster (David) of Paragould.

Brothers, Richard Whittaker of Paragould and Don Whittaker of Doniphan, Missouri.
Sister, Barbara Walker of St. Louis, Missouri.

10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held in Pine Hill Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019 with Bro. Harold Russell officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dallas Whittaker, Hunter Whittaker, Troy Brown, Daniel Davis, Jonathan Foster, and David Foster.
