James "Todd" Hinton

James “Todd” Hinton, 48, of Jonesboro passed away Friday, October 11, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born August 8, 1971 in Jonesboro to Teresa “Tessie” Hinton Young and Ruben Vachel Hinton. Todd enjoyed hunting, fishing, stock car racing, riding motorcycles, camping, cooking and going to the river and lake. He also loved watching the Razorbacks play football and basketball and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Most of all though, Todd loved spending time with his family, especially his son.

In addition to his father, Todd was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Kay Hinton; step-dad, William Dugan “Bill” Young and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

In addition to his mother, Todd is survived by his wife of 26 years, Shelley (Williams) Hinton; son, Andrew “Blake” Hinton, both of the home; sister, Amanda (Jason) Bishop of Jonesboro; father/mother-in-law, Weldon and Martha Williams; 2 sister-in-laws, Amy (George Collier) Williams Long and Kristin (Sam) Williams Morgan all of Paragould and numerous nieces and nephews and greats.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 10:00 am at Emerson Funeral Home with Heath Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Strawfloor Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Emerson Funeral Home.
