James D. Sullivan

December 26, 1937 — February 25, 2019

James Darrell Sullivan, 81, of Jonesboro, was called home on Monday, February 25, 2019.
Born on December 26, 1937, James was a believer in Jesus Christ and
attended Walnut Street Baptist Church. He loved his family and had
many friends.

James is survived by wife, Peggy (Bishoff) Sullivan, sons James Timothy of Irving, TX and
Michael Darrell of Fayetteville, AR and sisters Lorene
Dacus of Paragould, Joyce Barkley of Jonesboro and Judy Montgomery of
Cabot; brothers Gene of Morocco, IN, Junior of Imperial, MO and
Charles of Leachville, AR, and five grandchildren and many nieces and
nephews.

James is preceded in death by his parents James Madison and Nora
Sullivan, wife, Barbara (Carter) Sullivan and brother JL Sullivan and
loyal friend, Bubba.

James shared a vibrant sense of humor, love of baseball and will be
missed forever by all.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday evening at Emerson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jerry Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Pirtle Cemetery near Peach Orchard.

Active pallbearers include Dennis Sullivan, George Walton, James Howell, Don Long, Randy Johnson and Marshall Border. Honorary pallbearers include members of the Ron Hatley Sunday School class at Walnut Street Baptist Church.

For lasting memorials the family asks that consideration be given to Walnut Street Baptist Church, 1910 Scenic Drive, Jonesboro, AR 72401.
