James E. Speakman, Jr.

James E. Speakman, 62, of Bono, died Tuesday at Jonesboro Healthcare. He was born and raised in Jonesboro. He attended Cathedral Baptist Church and was an aviation loader for S & S Flying Service. He loved airplanes, kites and was a Navy Veteran having served 3 tours of duty in Vietnam.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Edna Speakman of the home; sons, Craig Speakman, Chris Speakman, Eric Speakman, all of Wisconsin; daughter, Michelle Speakman; brother Larry George, of Jonesboro; 2 sisters, Linda and Sherry both of Michigan; and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward & Anita Hogue Speakman.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Cathedral Baptist Church with Doug Welborn officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Thursday 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
