James Royal O'Dell

James Royal O’Dell, 78, of Dyess, died Thursday March 5, at his home.

He was born in Tyronza, Arkansas and lived in Dyess for three years, moving there from Clarkedale, Arkansas. He was a retired farmer and a 32nd degree Mason.

He was preceded in death by his wife Louise, parents Homer and Minnie Price O’Dell.

Survived by two sons; Dennis O’Dell of Dyess, Arkansas and Paul O’Dell of Harrison, Arkansas.

Three daughters; Teri Lancaster of Iuka, Mississippi
Geri Elrod of Marion, Arkansas
Kathy Greer of Dyess, Arkansas

Seven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great - great grandchild.

A Memorial service will be Sunday March 8, 2009 at the family’s home in Dyess, with Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Burial will be private.

There is no visitation planned.
