James Ray Barkley

James Ray Barkley, 57, of the Lester community, died Sunday, September 3, 2017, at his home.

James was born in Jonesboro and grew up in the Jonesboro and Brookland area. He lived in Pyatt for 21 years before moving to the Lester community about 5 years ago. James worked in timber and logging and was preceded in death by his father, U.L. Barkley.

Survivors include his mother, Dianna Ring of Lake City;
1 son, Michael Ring of Lake City; and other relatives and friends.

All services and burial will be private. There will be no visitation.
