James Kenneth Payne, 71, of Bono, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at his home. Born in Blytheville on November 27, 1952, to the late Wayne and Ruth Payne, James lived a full life rooted in family, faith, and his many passions.
A man of the Baptist faith, James was known for his love of painting ceramics and his impressive collection of action figures from his favorite movies. In his earlier years, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, which brought him much joy and relaxation.
James is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Mary Payne of Bono; his daughter, Brandy Risner (Larry) of Manila; sons, Tommy Payne of Braggadocio, Missouri, and Timmy Payne (Tara) of Portageville, Missouri; and his stepson, Chris Lackey of Osceola. He was also the proud grandfather of Kyle, Joey, Kelsey, David, Braiden, and Brantley, and great-grandfather to Tripp, Madden, Weston, Wrenley, Jordyn, Brayden, Kasen, and Miles.
