James Michael “Mike” Lynn, 61, of Bono, died Saturday, September 15, 2012. He had lived in Bono for 15 years, moving there from Jonesboro. Mike was of the Baptist belief. He graduated from Weiner High School in 1967 and was the former State President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He served in the U. S. Army National Guard for 23 years and was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Jamie Chamberlain.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Jackie Lynn, of the home; sons, Joshua Lynn of Bay; Shawn Lynn, of Jonesboro; Eric Chamberlain of Brookland; daughter, Vicki Baker of Jonesboro; brother, Allen Lynn of Weiner and Janice Lynn of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Skye Baker and Samantha Baker of the home; Katelynn Lynn; Lleyton Lynn; Shiloh Lynn; Davin Lynn; Richard Chamberlain; Nathan Chamberlain; and Magen Davis.
Funeral services will be 10:00 Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Chris James officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Pierce Cemetery with Tim Harris, Tommy Sitzer, Keith Fielder, Larry Cook, David Cook, Kenneth Moore, Norman Thompson, David Caldwell serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Donald Greeno, Lynn Diggs, Terry Jenkins, former members of the 5/206th FA Harrisburg, Arkansas Army National Guard, and Employees of Riceland Foods in Weiner.
Visitation will be from 6-8 Monday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
