James Leroy Long

James Leroy Long, 81, of Jonesboro passed from this life June 27, 2016 at his home. He was born August 31, 1934 in Memphis, TN to the late Herman and Ethel Long. James has lived in Jonesboro since 1965 after coming from St. Claire, Missouri. James was of the Baptist belief. James enjoyed fishing and playing a variety of musical instruments. He was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife: Cora Inez Long; one son: Bill Long; and one brother: Bobby Long.
James was survived by one daughter: Debbie (Darrell) Veteto; one brother: Herman (Shirley) Long; one sister: Betty (Bob) Wiseman; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Pine Log Cemetery with Brother Kevin Barnett officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
