James Houston Lawrence

James Houston Lawrence, 67, of Tuckerman, Arkansas, died Sunday, June 15, 2008. He was born in Trumann and had lived in Tuckerman the past six years, moving there from Jonesboro. He was of the Baptist belief and was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Hope Lawrence, of the home; five sons, James Lawrence, Jr., Tuckerman; Jimmy Lawrence, and Steve Lawrence, Paragould, Christopher Lawrence and Jeffrey Lawrence, of Jonesboro; one daughter, Jamie Gonzalez, Batesville, Arkansas; three brothers, William Lawrence, Hoxie, Arkansas; James Clayton Lawrence, Texas; Johnny Allen Green, Wynne, Arkansas; one sister, Arnettie Ragland, Tennessee; fourteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June19, 2008. at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Brother Johnny Allen Green officiating and burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers will be his sons, Kevin Miller, Hassell Rackley, and Erwin Gonzalez. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 Wednesday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
