James Laird

James Laird, 74, of Jonesboro, died Monday, April 10, 2017 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He had lived most of his life in the Jonesboro area and was a member of the Cathedral Baptist Church. He owned and operated Laird’s Used Cars for 31 years. He enjoyed working and hunting. James was a veteran of the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew Vic Allen.

Survivors include his sons, Jimmy Laird (Jennifer) of Jonesboro; Todd Laird serving in Kuwait; sisters, Dixie Bradley of New Mexico; Rebecca Allen (Larry) of Saffell Arkansas; grandchild, Tanner Laird.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, April 14, 2017 at Old Enterprise Cemetery with Doug Welborn officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be friends and family. Honorary pallbearers are the Pool Players at St. Bernard’s Senior Life Center. There will be no public visitation.
