James “Jimmy” Taylor Grisham, 81, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at his home.
Born on February 23, 1944, in Memphis, TN to Cecil and Juanita Grisham, Jimmy spent most of his life in Bay, Arkansas. At just ten years old, he climbed onto a tractor and, true to his nature, never truly got off until his illness no longer allowed him to continue. Farming was not just his livelihood—it was who he was.
Jimmy was a graduate of Arkansas State University, where he earned a degree in agriculture. He was a faithful member of Bay Church of Christ and was known for his strong work ethic, long hours in the field, and his quiet, reserved disposition.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Rosemary Grisham; and his grandson, Ryce Grisham.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Barbara Grisham; his son, Forrest (Amanda) Grisham; his daughter, Niki (Matt) Garrett; his brother, Howard Grisham; his sisters, Connie Austin and Cindy Atkinson; and his grandchildren, Hadley Rose Grisham, Hundley-Rae Grisham, and Sam Garrett.
Services for family only will be private.
