James Preston Jeffers

James Preston Jeffers, 64, of Bay, died Friday morning in Trumann. He was an Army and National Guard veteran, having served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He loved fishing and watching car races.

He is survived by children, Gary Jeffers, Trumann, Tim Grissom, Montana, Lynn Phillips, Jonesboro, Becky Goza, Trumann; 4 brothers; 3 sisters; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Jeffers; son, James Preston Jeffers, Jr.; 2 sisters; and his parents.

Graveside services are Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery with Gary Barker officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are Kevin Fry, Charlie Goza, Archie Cooper, Dale Cooper, David Kelly, Gary Jeffers.

Honorary pallbearers are Don Hill, Sr., Don Hill, Jr., Randy Anderson.
