James "Jamie" Robert Mccurry

James “Jamie” R. McCurry, 41, of Ravenden passed away Friday, May 31, 2024 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born July 16, 1982 in Houston, Texas. Jamie was of the Church of Christ belief. He was a United States Army Veteran who served his country for over 14 years. He served in Iraqi Freedom during his service. Jamie enjoyed cooking, fishing, and archery. Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.

Jamie was preceded in death by his dad, Rick Orrick and nana, Frances Swarts.

Survivors include his mother, Anita Orrick; wife, Eugenia “Morris” McCurry; 2 sons, James Casey, Frank McCurry; 2 daughters, Emily Pelletier, Zoe Casey; sister, Liz (David) Mansfield; poppie, Jim Swarts; 2 uncles, Sam McCurry, Curtis McCurry; great uncle, Jack Brown and 1 grandchild on the way.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 15, 2024 from 11:00-1:00p.m. at the Ravenden Community Center.

All other services are private.
